Please submit an abstract limited to one page describing the case presentation, quality improvement project, or research project by March 15, 2024, to Grace Riley at This should be submitted as a Word document or a PDF. Please include references, all presentation authors, your role (medical student, resident, or fellow), the name of your faculty mentor, and your academic institution.

The judges will select three medical students, based on the abstract submissions, to present at the poster session. There is no limit to the number of presentin
g residents or fellows, but submissions are limited to one per person. All accepted presenters will be notified by April 5, 2024.

Brief Abstract:

  • For case reports, write a brief summary of the case and clinical importance.

  • For a research abstract, submit a structured abstract including Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

  • For quality improvement projects, submit an unstructured abstract describing the project.

  • A figure, table, or image may be included for research posters.

All presentations must be submitted prior to arrival at the MSA meeting. Please email final presentations to by April 19, 2024. Your presentation should be a single-slide PowerPoint presentation.

Present at the MSA Annual Meeting | Saturday, April 27

The poster presentation sessions will take place Saturday, April 27th, 10:15-11:55 am at the Fontaine Hotel in Kansas City, MO.

First, second, and third place winners will be announced and asked to present to the full audience on Saturday, April 27th 4:15-4:55 pm. 

You will have five minutes to present, followed by three minutes of proctor questions.
